Malaysia has three major ethnic groups that coexist with and contribute to national heritage, culture, and traditions. As Malay, Chinese, and Indian mixed in the country, Malaysia is known as ‘Truly Asia’. Other than the unique social atmosphere, Malaysia also offers upstanding educational opportunities as its rapidly improve the quality of the higher education with lower costs of studying and living. Across the national border of Malaysia – there is Singapore that is famous for being a global financial center. Singapore is also known as “Instant Asia” because it offers visitors a quick glimpse of the Asian cultures that immigrants have brought from all parts of the continent. Singapore is recognized for its education system as the government prioritizes education over other matters and the education goals are precise. Through this program, participants are going to explore Kuala Lumpur and Singapore – the capital cities of Malaysia and Singapore. Furthermore, this exchange program is to explore dozens of extraordinary academic and non-academic experiences to achieve participants’ future goals concerning both culture and education.

International Legal Certificate

By enrolling in SEOI MALSIN 2023, participants acquire the International Certificate upon the successful completion of all the programs. This certificate acts as proof of the international exposure that is essential for participants to achieve professional future careers or further academic plans.

Educational and Cultural Exchange

SEOI MALSIN 2023 offers participants to experience international learning as well as necessary insights about acceptance and understanding of cross-border cultures and communities. In addition, participants will be able to gain more understanding of Malaysian history, culture, and tradition from three ethnics. In addition, participants may receive the same information in Singapore as well. Participants also can acquire inspiration and insight from Malaysian as well as education that may motivate them in pursuing future goals. Even more, participants will be able to deepen their comprehension of foreign educational systems and their cultures, develop their analytical and problem-solving skills, and contribute to discussing global issues according to their interests.

Self-development and Awareness

Participants that participate in our SEOI MALSIN 2023 program will be able to develop their confidence in communicating with foreigners and be prepared to adapt and overcome challenges or differences that are present outside of their comfort zone. In addition, participants also will be able to expand their network in the academic and non-academic environment through education and cultural series within SEOI MALSIN 2023.

International Student Exchange Program (SEOI) endorses individuals who is enthusiast to enrich their knowledge and their ability to advance positive social change in their home countries.


  • Flight to Malaysia
    The exchange may take several months even a year, but this program offers an opportunity to know and understand the process of doing an exchange program by connecting with potential partner universities. This is what the participants will be experiencing, starting from taking their feet in a plane to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • Petronas Twin Tower
    Participants will take the opportunity of seeing the landscape of Kuala Lumpur over Petronas Twin Tower. This tower is one of the tallest towers at 451.9 meters with 88 floors in Kuala Lumpur. Moreover, the Petronas Twin Towers also beared the title of being the tallest twin towers.
  • Central Market and Petaling Street
    Then, participants will visit Central Market and Pelating Street to buy gifts and souvenirs from Malaysia

A Day of Discussion about Society and Technology

  • Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
    The second day will start by visiting Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, one of the top universities in Malaysia. Participants will have a campus tour to see the university’s system in a hope that one day they might want to continue their study there. They will also have a sharing session discussing social condition in Malaysia with university’s representatives.
  • University of Nottingham
    UNM is a member of the prestigious Universitas 21, and this provides students with additional options of a semester abroad in top universities globally. The University of Nottingham is a research-intensive university with a proud heritage, consistently ranked among the top one percent in the world.
  • Johor Bahru
    RRight from university visits, students will head to Johor Baru to continue their educative trip to Singapore in the next morning.

Singapore Society Exploration & Flight Back Home

  • Merlion Park
    On the third day, participants have arrived in Singapore. They explore Merlion Park, one of the iconic tourist attractions in Singapore in the form of a statue with the body of a fish and has the head of a lion. There are two Merlion statues in this park, the first standing at 8.6 meters high while the second statue is about 2 meters high.
  • NEWater
    In 2003, Singapore launched NEWater to the Singaporean public, with the opening of the first two NEWater plants at Bedok and Kranji, and the NEWater Visitor Centre, a water museum to showcase its journey towards water sustainability.
  • Chinatown
    The next thing to explore is Chinatown. This place is also a specific place where Chinese people in Singapore live and do activities such as business. If students can observe further, they will see whether Indian and Chinese refer to identity or a country.
  • Airport Transfer
    At the end of the day, students are expected to have great insights that might inspire them to live a life in wider perspective and knowledge.
