Malaysia has three major ethnic groups that coexist with and contribute to national heritage, culture, and traditions. As Malay, Chinese, and Indian mixed in the country, Malaysia is known as ‘Truly Asia’. Other than the unique social atmosphere, Malaysia also offers upstanding educational opportunities as its rapidly improve the quality of the higher education with lower costs of studying and living. Through this program, participants are going to explore Kuala Lumpur. Furthermore, this exchange program is to explore dozens of extraordinary academic and non-academic experiences to achieve participants’ future goals concerning both culture and education.

BENEFIT OF STUDENT EXCHANGE

International Legal Certificate

By enrolling in SEOI MAL 2024, participants acquire the International Certificate upon the successful completion of all the programs. This certificate acts as proof of the international exposure that is essential for participants to achieve professional future careers or further academic plans.

Educational and Cultural Exchange

SEOI MAL 2024 offers participants to experience international learning as well as necessary insights about acceptance and understanding of cross-border cultures and communities. In addition, participants will be able to gain more understanding of Malaysian history, culture, and tradition from three ethnics. In addition, participants may receive the same information in Singapore as well. Participants also can acquire inspiration and insight from Malaysian as well as education that may motivate them in pursuing future goals. Even more, participants will be able to deepen their comprehension of foreign educational systems and their cultures, develop their analytical and problem-solving skills, and contribute to discussing global issues according to their interests.

Self-development and Awareness

Participants that participate in our SEOI MAL 2024 program will be able to develop their confidence in communicating with foreigners and be prepared to adapt and overcome challenges or differences that are present outside of their comfort zone. In addition, participants also will be able to expand their network in the academic and non-academic environment through education and cultural series within SEOI MAL 2024.

GO! STARTING AND EXPLORING

  • Flight to Malaysia
    The exchange may take several months even a year, but this program offers an opportunity to know and understand the process of doing an exchange program by connecting with potential partner universities. This is what the participants will be experiencing, starting from taking their feet in a plane to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

  • Dataran Merdeka
    Participants will take the opportunity of seeing the well-known landmark of Kuala Lumpur, Dataran Merdeka. Dataran Merdeka is maintained by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall until this day. Its flagpole is one of the tallest in the world and is situated at the southern end of the Square. A round black marble plaque symbolises the location where the flag was raised for the first time.

 

  • Bukit Bintang
    Then, participants will visit Bukit Bintang, well-known as the heart and hub of Kuala Lumpur, with energy pulsing through its streets day and night. It’s one of the top commercial and entertainment districts in KL, with a wide range of malls, restaurants, bars, hotels and backpacker hostels lining every street.
  • Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
    The second day will start by visiting Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, one of the top universities in Malaysia. Participants will have a campus tour to see the university’s system in a hope that one day they might want to continue their study there. They will also have a sharing session discussing social condition in Malaysia with university’s representatives.

 

  • Cocoa Boutique
    Participants then will head to Cocoa Boutique that is described as a chocolate gallery. Participants may see varieties of chocolates of different forms and shape. Free samples are provided to all guests prior to entering the place.

 

  • MaTic Cultural Performance
    The Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC) a division within the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) is located in building in Kuala Lumpur, which is both an architectural and historical landmark. Participants may do performance or watch available performances.

 

  • Petronas Twin Tower
    Participants will take the opportunity of seeing the landscape of Kuala Lumpur over Petronas Twin Tower. This tower is one of the tallest towers at 451.9 meters with 88 floors in Kuala Lumpur. Moreover, the Petronas Twin Towers also beared the title of being the tallest twin towers.

 

  • Central Market
    Then, participants will visit Central Market to buy gifts and souvenirs from Malaysia.

EXPLORING

 

  • University of Kuala Lumpur
    On the third day, participants continue their trip to University of Kuala Lumpur. Participants will have a campus tour to see the university’s system in a hope that one day they might want to continue their study there. They will also have a sharing session discussing social condition in Malaysia with university’s representatives.
  • Putrajaya
    Participants will be heading to Putrajaya, an “Intelligent Garden City” and the Federal Administrative Capital of Malaysia. It has an expansive, meandering man-made lake and many areas devoted to parks, botanical gardens, and wetlands. Putra Mosque (Masjid Putra), on the lake near the prime minister’s office, opened in 1999.
  • Airport Transfer
    At the end of the day, participants are expected to have great insights that might inspire them to live a life in wider perspective and knowledge.
