Seoul is a city where many things starting from the traditional to modern ones can be explored. International Certificate

By enrolling in SEOI SEOUL 2024, participants acquire the International Certificate upon the successful completion of all the programs. This certificate acts as proof of the international exposure that is essential for participants to achieve professional future careers or further academic plans.

Educational and Cultural Exchange

SEOI SEOUL 2024 offers participants to experience international learning as well as necessary insights about acceptance and understanding of cross-border cultures and communities. In addition, participants will be able to gain more understanding of Korean history, culture, and tradition. Participants also can acquire inspiration and insight from the Korean participants and education that may motivate them in pursuing future goals. International Student Exchange Program (SEOI) endorses individuals who is enthusiast to enrich their knowledge and their ability to advance positive social change in their home countries.

Flight to Seoul

The exchange may take several months even a year, but this program offers an opportunity to know and understand the process of doing an exchange program by connecting with potential partner universities. This is what the participants will be experiencing, starting from taking their feet in a plane to Seoul, South Korea.

Incheon International Airport

Participants will be arriving at the international airport and be welcomed by the committee as they start the program.

Gyeongbokgung Palace

Participants will visit Gyeongbokgung Palace is commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because its location is furthest north when compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeonghuigung (Western Palace). Participants may enjoy the view of the most beautiful and remain the largest of all five palaces.

Cheonggyecheon Stream

Afterward, participants head to Cheonggyecheon Stream which starts from Cheonggye Plaza. Cheonggye Plaza roughly covers an area of 2,500 square meters and the plaza also includes a model of Cheonggyecheon that provides visitors with a bird’s-eye view of the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream.

King Sejong Museum

After exploring the palace, the participants will move to learn in King Sejong Museum. Participants will be able to appreciate King Sejong’s historical inventions and achievements within the museum.

Bukchon Hanok Village

Moving a little close, participants will walk around Bukchon Hanok Village or known as the “northern village” which preserved 900 houses with the Hanok style of architecture then participants may explore typical Korean houses in line.

Namsan Park

Last destination at day 2, participants will visit largest park in Seoul. This is home to many species of trees, plants, and animals. The park is well-known for its beautiful walking trails, which allow visitors to see the local wildlife, such as its squirrels. The park covers a large area and features a number of tourist attractions, including Baekbeom Square, the Namsan Cable Car and Namsan Seoul Tower, and statues of famous figures in Korean history.

Korea University

Participants will have campus tours and comparative learning at Korea University, the nation’s first university funded and administered solely by Koreans. The university was founded in 1905 by Lee Young-Ik, Treasurer of the Royal Household, whose idea and vision was that only by educating the younger generations could Korea secure its independence and grow and prosper as a nation.

Yonsei University

After visiting Korea University, participants will also have a chance to gain experiences in one of SKY universities in Korea, Yonsei University. Yonsei University provides excellent global programs for International Students. Yonsei University also offers the most comprehensive and modernized international non-degree programs for ambitious international students, which include the exchange/visiting student program (SAY), Yonsei International Summer School (YISS), Winter Abroad at Yonsei (WAY), short-term programs, and various Korean language programs offered by the Korean Language Institute.

COEX Mall & Starfield Library

Moving to another destination, participants will go to COEX Mall, Starfield Library. This is an open public space where anyone can freely come to sit down, take a break, and immerse themselves in books along with other bibliophiles. Participants will be able to explore a wide selection of books in various genres such as humanities, economics, hobbies, etc.

Hongdae Street

Participants then will take a stroll on Hongdae Street which is well-known as the centre of urban arts and indie music culture. Various things can be experienced on Hongdae Street as well such as night culinary, shopping places, trick eye museum, street artists, and even visiting Gyeongui Line Forest Park.

Chungang University

On the next day, participants still have an opportunity to study and collect information from Chungang University. It has a 100-year-old tradition of providing the highest quality of education and conducting advanced research activities. Afterward, participants will take a campus tour and share sessions with international students there.

Korea Exchange (KRX)

Participants continue the trip to the Korea Exchange (KRX) which offers visitors the to tour the lively stock exchange market that drives the economy of Korea and obtain first-hand experience of the stock market by participating in simulation games. The Financial Investment Experience Centre located behind the Korea Exchange is another attraction recommended for participants also take a look.

Myeongdong Street

Then, participants will spend the rest of the day walking around Myeongdong Street. It is an area full of big fancy department stores, trendy local shops, malls, and cosmetic stores.

Itaewon Street

After shopping at Myeongdong street, participants also get chance to visit Itaewon Shopping Street. It’s 1,4 km long road near Itaewon Station. There is an enormous variety of shops, entertainment venues, and restaurants lined along both sides of the street.

Airport Transfer

Participants will bid farewell to each other and be transferred to the airport as the signal that the students will start a brand new day with new experiences, new stories, new friends, and new family.

Arrival

Participants arrived in their home country for a brand-new day and experienced an academic expedition in Seoul, South Korea.
